Coach highlight-Ron L.


We are happy to welcome our newest coach to the team,

a man dedicated to the health and wellness of not only himself, but to those around him, Ron Lima.

He has already inspired many of the athletes in the gym both at CF Prowess and here, so we wanted to give him a formal introduction to all of you so you can see why you should be jumping in on his classes.


How long have you been doing CrossFit/Coaching?

I’ve been doing CrossFit for 6 years, been coaching for 3, 3 1/2 years now.


What made you want to be a coach?

At the time, Jason… the owner of CF Prowess, needed help, and I wanted to coach. I wanted to help people make themselves better.


What is your favorite food?

haha, umm… unhealthy I have to say bacon cheeseburger, healthy is salmon.


How do you stay active outside of the gym?

My job keeps me active, I am a GM of a restaurant and have 10, 12 hours on my feet. Outside, I play cornhole, yard games, drink beer.


What is your best moment as a coach?

Whenever I get someone to accomplish something they set out to do, Double unders, box jump, with good movement.


What is your favorite workout or movement?

Favorite workout is Murph, movement is thrusters. I really love long workouts, I feel like I have a great engine and like to push myself to see how far I can go.
